AFAN owners disown self-acclaimed executives, caution stakeholders

The Board of Trustees (BoT) of the All Farmers Association of Nigeria (AFAN) has officially declared that it is not aware of the leadership of Dr. Farouk Rabiu Mudi, as far as the daily running of the association is presently concerned.

This declaration was made in an official letter signed by the two founding fathers, AFAN Board of Trustees (BoT), Vice Admiral Murtala Nyako, and Sen. Abdullahi Adamu, where they officially declared the leadership of Mudi to be unknown soldiers to them.

It was stated in the already circulating letter that " We, the registered Board of Trustee members of AFAN do not recognize Farouk Rabi'u Mudi and Haladu Yunusa as national officers of AFAN as president and general secretary respectfully"

The letter added that the two had been officially expelled from AFAN, thereby warning members of the public to become weary of dealing with them on behalf of the association.

The BoT also disclosed that plans are underway to conduct a proper transition exercise from the last recognized national officers to a newly constituted executive committee that will pilot the affairs of the association.

In another development, the Mudi-led AFAN has invited stakeholders from both the private and public sectors to the upcoming General Assembly of Farmers ( GAF) slated to hold between 15th-17th, January 2026.

The event announcement, as posted on Mudi's facebook page, was to convene farmers and other stakeholders towards brainstorming on proactive agricultural commercialization through value chains integration and increased investment in Nigeria's food and agricultural business.
