Minister, Action Aid, women leader speak to food challenges

 

In a bit to find solution to food insecurity in the country occasioned by flood and armed bandits attack on farmers with resultant hike in produce prices, the Minister of Agriculture, the representative of Action Aid and a leader of women farmers have all spoken on measures to be taken to rescue the nation from food scarcity as predicted by United Nation for Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO).

2022 Agric show records low turn out, minister absent

The year 2022 opening ceremony of National Agricultural show held yesterday at Tundun Wada, Keffi, Nasarawa state recorded a very low turnout, just as Minister of Agriculture, Dr. Mohammad Mahmood Abubakar was conspicuously absent on  the occasion.

Idisi has lamented over the infrastructural decay in Institute’s faculty saying there is a need to ensure that students studying Agriculture have access to facilities that will well prepare them for the future best agronomic practices to standard productivity.

Minister advocates meeting farmers regularly to end hunger

The Agric Minister State, Alhaji Mustapha Baba Shehuri has posited that constant meeting with farmers is a pineace to ending food hunger in the country, just as a rice farmer, Alhaji Muazu,  an awardee also assured Nigerians soonest exporting of processed rice to other countries.
