National Council on Agriculture and Food Security Meeting has agreed to host its next edition in Kaduna, while Benue, a contending state expressed dissatisfaction about the selection process.

The National Council on Agriculture and Food Security ( NCAFS) meeting chaired by the Agric Minister, Sen.Abubakar Kyari has approved along others the formation of national organic agricultural policy for 2025 food security program just as rural infrastructure to checkmate climate change challenges with other memos also passed for execution.

The National Assembly representatives at the 45^th  National Council on Agriculture and Rural Development (NCARD) have both posited that value chain food productivity through the use of modern technologies be intensified to reduce drudgery, and enhance high productivity for food security and wealth creation, just as the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and rural development (FMARD) has promised improvement through the establishment of cottage industries to enhance competitiveness and comparative advantages.

45th NCARD: Monarch, farmers knock agric policy on loan, insecurity

The chairman, traditional council of Chiefs and Emirs in Plateau state,  Gbong Gwom Jos, Jacob Gyang Buba together with farmers' representative Mr. Segun Dasaolu at the recently concluded 45th National Council on Agriculture And Rural Development ( NCARD) have both faulted the implementation strategies of Federal Government (FG) on food productivity, saying wrong loan disbursement and unchecked insecurity had seriously hindered food production in the country.
