FG steps to check round tripping of maize, rice, cassava

Having identified round tripping as one major challenge in the 2023 dry season wheat planting through the National Agricutural Growth Scheme -Agro Pocket ( NAGS-AP) program, the Federal Government (FG) through the national and states working committees has decided to take the following underlisted steps to ensuring better inputs delivery for maize, rice and cassava.

50,000mt maize into market reduces price, say CBN

The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), through its communication office has credited itself for the injection of 50,000 metric tons of maize into the market to step down price from N200.000.00 to N180.000.00 per ton.

FG plans to release imported maize into market

There are great indications that the Federal Government (FG) will soon release about 262,000 metric tons of maize into the market to reduce the current price of N155, 000 per ton to One Hundred and Twenty Thousand Naira (120,000.00).
