NCAM gets substantive ED, stakeholders fault the appointment

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu ( PBAT) has approved the appointment of Engr. Julius Oloro as the new substantive Chief Executive Officer ( CEO) of National Centre for Agricultural Mechanization ( NCAM), Ilorin, Kwara state.

The announcement was aired through the television broadcast last night which according to our contacts have caught many including the two ministers of Agriculture and Food Security unaware.

The procedure to the NCAM CEO appointment as pointed to us by one stakeholder was that it must be channelled through the recommendation of Agricultural Research Council of Nigeria (ARCN) to the Minister for final approval by the Federal President of Nigeria.

This particular process may not have followed the lay down order due to political interference and misinformation about the NCAM's mandate appointment procedure.

A source told us that whoever must head NCAM must be a PHD holder with engineering background, and must not be above age sixty, stressed that the President must have been politically influenced and professionally misinformed.
