FMAFS lacks funding for approved food security programs

 

An active execution of food security programs in the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security ( FMAFS) has been drastically slowed down of recent due to lack of adequate funding. Food Farm News recent visit reveals.

The programs already approved at the last national council meeting could not take off according to our findings from reliable sources as scanty officials were sighted on duty during the visit.

Our findings revealed inadequate funding to execute food security programs that have already been approved for the 2026 food security activities.

A source who wanted to remain anonymous said there was nothing happening as regards food security  because funding has been a challenge.

Another source called our attention to scanty officials in the offices saying there was no release of funding for already approved food security programs that would enhance food security.
