FG appoints new heads to three animals production institutes

 

The Federal Government ( FG) through the Minister of Livestock, Alhaji Idi Mukhtar Maiha has approved a new leader for National Veterinary Research Institute ( NVRI), Vom, Federal College of Animal Health and Production Technology ( FCAHPT), Ibadan and    Institute of Animal Health and Production ( FCAHPT), Vom.

The new heads are Dr. Dashe Yakubu as the new Executive Director ( ED) NVRI, Vom,  Dr. Moshood Popoola as Provost, FCAHPT, Ibadan and Prof. Abdullah Ahmed, ED FCAHPT, Vom.

At the presentation of the appointment letters, Execute Secretary, Agricultural Research Council of Nigeria (ARCN), Dr. Abubarka Adamu Dabban urged the new leaders to key into president Bola Ahmed Tinubu's Renewed Hope agenda for food security by ensuring that their Institutes become a centre of excellence and knowledge, saying there is total need for professionalism, diligence and a focus for staff well fares with cutting edge research to boost agriculture innovation system.
