Kaduna set to expand dam for agric uses

The Kaduna State Commissioner for Agriculture, Murtala Mohammed Dabo has announced the expansion of the state's dam towards increased food production.

This expansion, Mr. Mohammed Dabo said during a stakeholders meeting last November, is aimed at enhancing food production along the dam base.

According to him, the shrinking would be expanded through the digging of about 1000 hectares that would be used for increased food production, adding that agricultural activities will be enhanced.

Mr. Emmanuel Adjoh said that technically, the digging expansion would increase the volume of water capacity for both drinking and farming activities.
