New NAQS acting boss promises service delivery

 


The Acting Comptroller General ( CG) of Nigeria Agricultural Quarantine Service ( NAQS) Dr.Godwin Sunday Audu who took over from the immediate past leader, Dr. Vincent Isegbe has promised an efficient service to stakeholders in the sector.

This was contained in a press release made available to journalists and signed by the organization's media head, Mr Chigozie Nwodo.


The statement quoted the Acting CG, Dr. Sunday Audu assuring the stakeholders that NAQS is dedicated to enhancing its service delivery in line with the renewed hope agenda of President Bola Amed Tinubu of Nigeria.


Audu stated that  “ In alignment with the Renewed Hope agenda of the present administration and the strategic blueprint of the Honourable Minister of Agriculture, we shall do more in the delivery of our services and mandate”.

The statement outlined the following as focal points of the Acting CG 

1. Ease of Doing Business in line with the Presidential Enabling Environment within the export environment by expediting inspection and certification services, streamlining application processes, and automating quarantine procedures.


2. Double Taxation : The agency will optimize operation at inter-state control to minimize delays in the haulage of agro commodities.
