Kano rural agric development agency asks for prayers

The Managing Director ( MD) Kano State Agricultural and Rural Development Authority (KNARDA), Dr. Farouk Ahmad Kurawa has asked the farmers and pastoralists to pray for more food security interventions just as he pleaded for peaceful coexistence within the state.

This call was made in a press statement made available on Facebook and signed by the Head, Media Unit, Mr. Muzzammil Mustapha.

The MD, Dr. Kurawa, in the statement, solicited prayers for the governor of the state ( Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf) being a sign of appreciation for all his agricultural intervention programs towards food security in the state.

Kurawa urged beneficiaries to remain committed to hard work, maintain peaceful coexistence within respective communities, noting that peace and cooperation are essential for sustainable agricultural development.

He also called on beneficiaries of the recently established 98 milk collection centres across Kano State to take proper care of the facilities and work closely with security agencies and other relevant stakeholders to ensure safety against vandalism, theft, and other activities that could undermine the good effort.

The statement pointed out that the milk collection initiative is designed to empower vulnerable beneficiaries across the agricultural value chain, strengthen agricultural marketing systems, improve milk collection and marketing, and enhance the livelihoods of farmers and pastoralists throughout the state.

Also in the press release, KNARDA MD assured farmers and pastoralists of the Authority's continued commitment to supporting government efforts aimed at transforming the agricultural sector and improving the socio-economic wellbeing of people across Kano State.
