AFAN, FACAN mourn former president, National Deputy


The All Farmers Association of Nigeria ( AFAN) has announced with sad note the passing away of its former president, Architecture Kabiru Ibrahim just as Federation of Agricultural Commodity Association (FACAN) also expressed sadness about its National Deputy President, late Chief Adjaroh Oghenekaro.

The sad news was broken at different condolence messages by the two National Presidents of AFAN, Hon. Muhammed Magaji Gettado and Alhaji Sheriff Balogun of FACAN.

Hon. Mogaji Gettado in the message stated that " It is with profound sadness and a deep sense of loss that i announce on behalf of AFAN the passing of its former National President, Arch. Kabiru Ibrahim"

He stated that Arch. Kabiru Ibrahim was a distinguished Architect, farmer, agricultural advocate, and steadfast leader who dedicated a significant part of his life to the advancement of Nigerian agriculture and the welfare of farmers across the country, saying that during his tenure as national president was purposeful with a leadership voice that contributed immensely to food security matters and issues relating to farmers at national and international levels.

The AFAN president stated that " His passion for agriculture, commitment to farmers, and contributions to the development of Nigeria's agricultural sector will remain a lasting part of his legacy.

" AFAN extends its heartfelt condolences to the family of Arch. Kabiru Ibrahim, his relatives, colleagues, and associates. We pray that Almighty Allah forgives his shortcomings, accepts his good deeds, grants him Al-Jannatul Firdaus, and gives his family, friends, and the entire farming community the strength and fortitude to bear this irreparable loss"

Similarly, the National President of FACAN has announced the death of one of its deputies, Chief Joshua Adjaroh Oghenekaro, who recently passed.

In his condolence message, Alhaji Sheriff Balogun stated that " It is with profound grief and a deep sense of loss that I, on behalf of the national executive council and the entire membership of FACAN extend our heartfelt condolences to the family of our esteemed brother.

Balogun described his late national deputy president as a distinguished leader, a steadfast advocate of farmers and commodity associations, as he prayed for the repose of his soul.

Chief Adjaroh Oghenekaro was also the national president, Banana/ Plantain Growers, Processors and Marketers Association of Nigeria until his death.

Also, the Nigerian Cassava Growers Association has recently lost one of its members who, until his passage, was the Chairman of FCT chapter, Chief Nicolas Chibueze. Members wish his soul to rest in peace, while they pray that God should grant the family he left behind the fortitude to bear the loss.
