Breaking News: IAR Announces New Appointments.

 


The Institute for Agricultural Research (IAR), Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, is pleased to announce the appointment and reappointment of distinguished researchers to key leadership positions within the Institute.

The appointments are expected to further strengthen leadership, coordination and research activities across the Institute’s programmes and research stations.

The following appointments and reappointment have been approved:

Dr. Jamilu Garba – Reappointed as Officer-in-Charge, Irrigation Research Station, Talata Mafara, with effect from 2 July 2026.

 Dr. Nuraddeen Musa – Appointed as Program Leader, Cotton Research Program, with effect from 1 September 2026.

 Dr. Rukayya Sami – Appointed as Program Leader, Biotechnology Research Program, with effect from 11 September 2026.

The Institute congratulates the newly appointed and reappointed officers and wishes them successful tenures in their respective assignments.

The management of IAR remains committed to strengthening leadership and research coordination across its programmes and stations in pursuit of its mandate of developing innovative agricultural technologies and solutions for farmers and national development.
