The National President of the Community Allied farmers’ Association (COMFAS) Mr. Austin Maduka has assured the nation the preparedness of his members to ensuring food security through doing farming with the global agricultural practice saying honesty and transparency shall be the hallmark.

Speaking during the first national executive meeting of the association in Abuja last week, Mr. Austin Maduka pointed that the association was already working with major stakeholders at the value chains of agriculture that would ensure positive impact to the farmers at the grassroots towards ensuring food security using best practices of inputs and technologies for market competitiveness.

Mr. Maduka said that the association was already partnering with major input suppliers and financial institutions towards ensuring timely delivery of benefits to members for the development of agriculture and food security in country, thereby urging all the states chairmen to ensure honesty and transparency that would not betray any trust.

He expressed the readiness of the association to change the face of doing things among farmers rightly saying every farmer in the association would be entitled to a certified land for cultivation, and thereby solving the issue of bank collateral for loan.
