Many different farmers’ cooperatives across the six geo political zones of the nation that have submitted applications for the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) ten million naira loan for agricultural activities for the 2017 rainy season farming are yet to collect the said amount even when certification have been issued with 10% down payment of deposit in the Association of Non-Bank Microfinance Institute of Nigeria (ANMFIN).
This loan is meant for 2017 rainy season cultivation towards increased agricultural productions by farmers’ cooperative groups across the federation, but up to this point the money which have been processed through application of forty thousand naira paid into ANMFIN since last September with certificates issued without any kobo given to anybody as promised through the apex bank of the country.
Already we were told that Nigerian Incentive-Based Risk Sharing System ( NIRSAL) and Rural Financing (RUFIN) have given collateral to those that qualified to get the N10 million  as the files of people that were not qualified were returned.
Sources revealed to us that about 350 applications across the six geo political zones may have been submitted for approval of the loan with each cooperative group paying a total of N200.000.00 being for consultancy fees, and N42, 000.00 for certification aside 10% deposit of the ten million naira loan promised by CBN.
Many farmers’ cooperative are already complaining as our source told us that a particular region from the Southern geo political zone is already planning to protest the non-payment of the loan since last year September, and the whole process in going to a year with our deposits yielding interest.
The interest rate on the loan is expected to attract a single digit of 5-6% for farmers’ cooperative, but in less than two months the promised made will be one year with no solution to get the loan in sight, just as the rainy farming is almost coming to an end, said one of our sources.

Nobody at RUFIN wants to say anything as the director who head the place was not on seat.
