Soil experts’ conference starts next Monday

42nd annual conference


About one thousand soil scientists from Nigeria and the rest of world are expected to converge at the Institute of Agricultural Research and Training (IAR&T), Moor PlantationIbadan between March 12th – 16th for the   42nd annual conference.

The Soil Science Society of Nigeria (SSSN) meeting will deliberate on food security related matters like climate change adaptation, research results on all aspects of sustainable management of soil and water resources in respect to efficient mitigation.

It will also present a premiere platform for presentation and discussions of the most recent innovations, trends and concerns as well as practical challenges encountered and solutions adopted in the fields of soil and water management, food security and climate change.

Other people expected to attend the conference are Agronomists, Agricultural Consultants, Manufacturers, suppliers, Distributors, Traders, Journalists, Government Agencies, Venture Capitalists, Service Providers and all those involved in optimizing crop yields and quality.
