Re: GMO cotton fails in Nigeria, says NACOTAN president

We refer to a story with the above title published in Foodfarm News edition of August 8, 2025  and a rejoinder by National Cotton Association of Nigeria (NACOTAN) denying any such interaction between its president, Mr. Aniche Achimugu and the X space and wish to state that we regret any embarrassment the said piece might have caused the NACOTAN and Mr. Achimugu.

We also wish to assure NACOTAN and our esteemed readers that it was not intentional but a mistake never to repeat itself again.

We are all partners in progress working towards food and fibres security and the full emancipation of the agricultural sector in particular and Nigeria in general from bondage.
