During a visit to FG- World Bank Fadama 111 Additional Financing (AF) at Rahab village rice production site in Sokoto state.

This farmer with me is one of the beneficiaries of Faro 44 seed input, water pump, insecticide chemicals and fertilizer. The National Project Coordinator, Tayo Adewunmi commended the effort of the rice farmers' cooperatives for their compliance to best agronomic practice training given to them that has resulted to increase yield from 40- 50 bags of paddy per hectare to 90-100.

The farmers too are appreciative of Fadama 111 project in the state saying it has tremendously increased their production while pleading for factorization to reduce drudgery and rice processing machines for better commercialization.
