Khartoum to Host FAO Regional Conference for Africa On Monday

The United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) Regional Conference for Africa will be held in Khartoum on next Monday with participation of 5o ministers to discuss improvement of means of production and creating decent and attractive work opportunities.

The Conference which will convene under the motto " Sustainable Development for Agricultural and Food Systems in Africa" will run from 19-23 of current February.

State Minister of Agriculture, Engineer Al-Sadiq Fadlalla told SUNA that the FAO regional Conference comes inline with the President of the Republic Initiative on achievement of Food Security and that the Conference is a chance for realizing regional integration between African countries.

He added the Conference of will discuss issues of food, feeding , employment of youth , agricultural policies , sustainable development, and hunger eradication.
