Trade Minister inaugurates committee against agro export rejection

The Minister, Federal  Ministry of Industry, Trade& Investment ( FMITI), Otunba Richard Adeniyi Adebayo, CON has yesterday constituted a committee chaired by the Director, National Export Promotion Council (NEPC), Dr. Ezra Yakusak along with other members including the National President, Sesame seed producers, processors and Marketers Association of Nigeria, Alhaji Sheriff Balogun who confirmed the national assignment being given to the committee. 

Otunba Adebayo mandated the committee in a statement sent to us by the Director of press unit, Mr. Adebayo Thomas  to quickly come with a proactive policy that would address some challenges militating against our agro produces from being accepted in the international markets, adding that they should as a matter of urgency come up with a proffered solution.

Alhaji Sheriff Balogun who confirmed the assignment said the committee has already swung into action as being directed by the Minister, saying that the matter is very strategic to our economic growth in agriculture, and the committee has swung into action immediately as the first meeting was held today as well.
