Minister, Action Aid, women leader speak to food challenges
In a bit to find solution to food insecurity in the country occasioned by flood and armed bandits attack on farmers with resultant hike in produce prices, the Minister of Agriculture, the representative of Action Aid and a leader of women farmers have all spoken on measures to be taken to rescue the nation from food scarcity as predicted by United Nation for Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO).

Osun buys no tractor in the last 12 years

Farmers in the state of Osun have accused the government of buying no single tractor for the mechanization development of agriculture in the last twelve years, saying this has perpetually left them with crude ways of practicing uncompetitive farming for food security.

Extinction: Ogun raises alarm on walnut, locust beans, 119 others

Government of Ogun state, through its Ministry of Agriculture, has identified One Hundred and Twenty One (121) African nutritious food crops including walnut, locust beans and African cherry that may likely go extinction if urgent action is not taken, just as the Permanent Secretary (PS) of the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (FMARD) Dr. Ernest Umakhihe has promised support within the ambit of funds availability, and research provisions.
