A Nigerian Custom Service (NCS) Controller, Trade/Facilitation department Mr. Anthony Ayalogu has taken a swipe on government officials saying they are responsible for the rejection of our agricultural produce into other countries by allowing them get out of the country's shore without proper procedure. He said this at the just concluded Agricon conference held at the conference centre at Abuja.

The Federal Capital Territory, (FCT) has begun the process of updating the database of farmers and improvement of all agricultural related institutions as a means to increase the productivity of food system that will meet the growing population demand aspiration, says the Minister of state, Dr. Ramatu Aliyu.

However, production is struggling to keep up with the demands of expanding human populations, the rise in urbanization and the associated shifts in diet habits. High costs of feed prevent the livestock sector from thriving and to meet the rising demand.
