The Minister of Agriculture, Dr. Mohammad Mohmood Abubakar has promised support to few agricultural institutes he recently visited in Kaduna state. .

A Nigerian Custom Service (NCS) Controller, Trade/Facilitation department Mr. Anthony Ayalogu has taken a swipe on government officials saying they are responsible for the rejection of our agricultural produce into other countries by allowing them get out of the country's shore without proper procedure. He said this at the just concluded Agricon conference held at the conference centre at Abuja.

Minister says update of farmers’ database will increase food productivity

* NAQS, FMITI emphasise on standard

The Federal Capital Territory, (FCT) has begun the process of updating the database of farmers and improvement of all agricultural related institutions as a means to increase the productivity of food system that will meet the growing population demand aspiration, says the Minister of state, Dr. Ramatu Aliyu.

In Africa, livestock production currently accounts for about 30% of the gross value of agricultural production. However, production is struggling to keep up with the demands of expanding human populations, the rise in urbanization and the associated shifts in diet habits.
