FG Sets to Launch Dry Season Farming tomorrow



The Permanent Secretary ( PS), Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security (FMAFS), Mr. Temitope Fashedemi, has announced tomorrow as the official launch day for ( 2024- 25) dry season farming by the Federal Government ( FG).

 The PS announced this today at the ongoing Regular Meeting of the National Council of Agriculture and Food Security in Calabar, saying that the objective was to boost food production and ensure food security.

 Mr. Temitope Fashedemi pointed that the dry season farming is an obligation from the FG to make inputs provision through subsidy to farmers across the country He said that the launch of the dry season farming is a significant step towards achieving the Federal Government's Renewed Hope Agenda for food security and economic growth.

 " By supporting farmers and investing in irrigation infrastructure, the government aims to transform the agricultural sector and ensure a brighter future for Nigerians" said the PS.
