I met rot in the research system – ARCN ES, Prof. Sharubutu


In this interview, the Executive Secretary (ES), Agricultural Research Council of Nigeria (ARCN) Prof. Garba Sharubutu spoke extensively on how he has been able to reposition the rot he met in the council and which has negatively impacted on the whole research system being the supervising Agency of all the agricultural research institutes, colleges of agriculture and federal Universities of Agriculture. He applauded the support of the Minister of Agriculture, Alhaji Sabo Nanono that enabled the implementation of the approved blue print for the council’s repositioning towards research development across board.

Farmers accuse Agric Minister of rancour, say constitution does not recognise recent Kano GAF


The Nigerian farmers have alleged the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Alhaji Sabo Nanono as the one causing  trouble in the association , saying the recently held conference at Kano was not recognised in the constitution of All Farmers’ Association of Nigeria (AFAN).

The President, National Association of Mango Producers, Processors and Marketers of Nigeria (NAMPPMAN) Hon.  Abdulkadir Andaje Nasir has called on the Government affiliated agencies in the mango value chains not to be too rigid in their approach to the development of the produce for local and international consumptions, just as he commended the training given on production standard.

Bonafide members of All Farmers Association of Nigeria (AFAN) have distanced themselves from the ongoing General Assembly of Farmers (GAF) presently being held at the Government House in kano state just as they described the meeting reckless and rascal to court order especially in a democratic dispensation when the rule of law supposes to be upheld.
