World Food Day: FG sets up a committee, politics mars agric development

 

The Federal Government ( FG) may have set up a committee to ensure the World food day celebration becomes reality by 16th October next month just as politics has negatively impacted agriculture and food security.

This was the recent findings of Foodfarmnews from a reliable source at the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security ( FMAFS) who said the minister, Sen. Kyari has set a committee in view of the up coming World Food Day that usually holds every 16, October of every year to mark the accessibility, affordability and availability of the people to foods against hunger.

The theme for this year's world Food is " Right to food for a better life and a better future " but this according to our source was far from Nigerians as many are finding it difficult to eat a meal per day thereby living millions of people going to sleep without food.

However our source revealed that underground preparation was going as a committee towards the event is already constituted as it is hope to be held in Nigeria to mark the event.

Meanwhile, the FMAFS is being perceived as doing nothing towards Agricutural development even at the presidential emergency declaration on the sector as our source pointed out that nothing is happening in the ministry to match actions with words.
