Trade/Industry Ministry sets to approve over 70 memoranda for economy, says PS




The Permanent Secretary, Federal Ministry of Industry, Trade & Investment ( FMITI), Dr. Evelyn Ngege has said the 14th National Council on Trade and Investment would be considering for approval over 70 memoranda towards a robust 2022/3  economic policy.

In her address to participants at Bauchi the venue of the event today, Dr. Evelyn Ngige.

noted that the council has received about 70  memoranda earmarked for deliberation and  possible consideration by council members chaired by the Minister of FMITI, Otunba Adebayo Adeniyi for approval.

NCITI as the  highest policy advisory body to the advancement of key economic variables is expected to contribute what will enhance ways of doing business in Nigeria especially with agro processing and marketing of exportable agricultural produce.

This is the 14th editions with the theme “Strengthening Industry, Trade and Investment Sector in promoting Development in the country “


 The meeting will adjourned on Friday 11th November 2022.

In attendance were economists from tertiary institutions, Industrial chiefs, Federation of Agricultural Commodity Associations of Nigeria (FACAN), and others from the government and private both in the oil and non-oil sectors.
