RUGA: Ruga cattle settlement palaval

It is unfortunate that political space was not properly managed to project this programme otherwise the model is good to go as a vehicle to project ranching of animals in order to forestall farmers/herdsmen clashes and thereby ensuring a healthy agricultural practices to making wealth and job creation cum empowerment .

The FG needs to embark on massive enlightenment campaign with focus to making Nigerians understand that is a voluntary partnership with any interested state without enforcing any of them into land grabbing.

To be honest the programme is a weapon to create many avenues for off takers to strive in terms of fresh milk and robust meat productivity with less stress to animals as social facilities will be provided around these settlements just as other business opportunities are expected to abound. But a sincerity of political purpose and enlightenment must be embarked upon to encourage genuine unity as one nation. Otherwise it is an antidote to curbing killings and clashes that are resulting to human lives and plenty agricultural produce losses .

 As Nigerians, we must begin to align with reality on our hands and must be ready for optimal option of healthy living as a nation. The Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development must deplore strategy of efficient englightenment with other private and public entities that will ensure this. The time is now, this is my personal take.
