In a communique signed by the National President, Alhaji Bello Abdullahi Bodejo and the National Secretary, Engr. Saleh Alhassan, respectively and made available to newsmen in Minna, Niger state yesterday at the end of their expanded executive council meeting of the association, the organisation also appreciates the efforts being put by the Federal and States governments in addressing the security challenges facing the Fulani Pastoralist particularly cattle rustling, kidnapping and banditry.
The communiqué however condemned the attempt to profile the Fulani race, urging the press to always investigate the veracity of their stories before going to press.
The NEC employed all members that have grievances to explore the internal dispute resolution mechanism and avoid petition writing to security agencies.
The meeting therefore ratified the suspension of the leadership of the organisation in Yobe and Borno states chapters of the organisation and set up a committee to visit the states to reorganise the chapters taking into cognisance the security situation in the states.
Adding that the NEC resolved to update the membership register of the organisation and have consequently cancel all existing Identity cards and a committee was set up to carry out the task.
