Loans facility: BOA takes hard stance on Associations


The Bank of Agriculture (BOA), Managing Director (MD)  Iwan Hassan has said that Associations will not partake in its  loans facility of N65 billion recapitalization, and another N5 billion for livestock, saying he would prefer individual farmers that are doing their agric business with genuine collaterals.

President, Cattle Breeers And Dealers Association  of Nigeria ( CBDA), Prince Segun Dasaolu has called on the incoming administration of President elect, Alhaj Ahmed Bola Tinubu to imbibe training of farmers on the use of modern farming technologies that would enhance food productivity and development towards secured nutritional food.

Preamble

Plant health and crop improvement are essential strategic tools of achieving food security in

Nigeria. Plant health is the state of plants being free from pests, diseases, and other stresses that

can negatively impact their growth and yield. Crop improvement, on the other hand, involves the

use of various techniques and technologies to enhance the yield, quality, and nutritional content

of crops. The combined benefits of these two strategies can immensely contribute to food

security in Nigeria.
