Controversy trails N9.6 billion Ges dry season

There are indications that the payment of the 2016 dry season Growth Enhancement Support (GES) of the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (FMARD) may be queried due to a high bill of about N9.6 billion naira despite allegations of haphazard delivery.

The National Livestock Training Programme (NALIT), a Public-Private sectors driven model to upscale livestock productivity, under the coordination of National Animal Production Research Institute (NAPRI) has received a positive nod from Federal Ministry of Foreign Affair (FMFA) and Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) to achieving market space expansion of the sub sector to the global world through engagement of the youths in capacity building towards standard products of fresh milk, meat and feeds production.

The dream of Federal Government to reduce the post-harvest loses by the establishment of cottage processing centres across the nation since year 2013 may have been stalled by the Bank of Industry (BOI), as processor depositors of Five Hundred Thousand Naira (N500.000.00) have alleged the bank of non-compliance to the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between her and Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (FMARD), just as they have demanded for the interest on their money from the date of deposit.
