FG makes NCAM acting ED substantive

 

The Federal Government (FG) through the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development  has appointed Engr. (Dr) Kamal Abdulgafar Rasheed as the new substantive Executive Director (ED)/ Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the National Centre for Agricultural Mechanization (NCAM),  Ilorin, Kwara state. 

This was said in a statement made available to us by the public relations officer of the centre, Mr. Olaifa Taye Paul.

The full text of the statement read thus "The NCAM is pleased to announce the approval of the appointment of Engr. Dr. Kamal Abdulgafar Rasheed as the new Executive Director/CEO of the Centre. This appointment was approved by the Honourable Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Dr Muhammad Mahmood Abubakar.

Engr. Dr. Kamal Abdulgafar Rasheed brings with him a wealth of experience in the field of agriculture, having worked in various capacities in the Centre. He holds a Ph.D. in Agricultural Engineering from the University of Ibadan, and has made significant contributions to the development of agriculture in Nigeria.

We believe that he will provide the necessary leadership to drive the Centre's mandate and take it to the next level"

"NCAM is confident that Dr. Kamal's appointment will enhance the Centre's capacity to deliver on its mandate and contribute significantly to the development of agriculture in Nigeria"

The statement also congratulated the entire management of the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (FMARD) and the Agricultural Research Council of Nigeria ( ARCN) led by Prof.  Garba Sharabutu for this appointment.
