Youth Enumerators hail FG for payment

The Association of  youth enumerators has applauded the Federal Government (FG) of Nigeria for the payment of data capturing of rural farmers across the country. This was said in a press release made available to us yesterday by the National coordinator, Mr. Thomas Yahaya Avong.

The statement stated that "FMARD Enumerators in the 36 States and FCT appreciate the Federal Government for the recent commencement of Enumerators payment. We want to particularly thank the Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency Prof. Yemi Osinbanjo for his timely intervention as well as the Special Assistant to the President on Agriculture Dr. Andrew Kwasari for his spirited effort and strong resolve for utmost fairness to Enumerators and finally the Honourable Minister of Agriculture and rural development for his final assent and approval"

"We appreciate the effort of some security agencies who made sure that our agitations were amicably resolved, and also the fatherly intervention, empathy and support of our amiable AFAN President Alh. Farouk Rabi'u Mudi"

The press release said further that " However we have recorded a number of complains of non-payment from many enumerators especially from some 3 banks  as well as payment that do not reflect reality of work done.We urge the Ministry to open a complain desk with the aim of resolving the many outstanding issues faced by enumerators nationwide"

" Enumerators sincerely appreciate government and hope to speedily receive other outstanding trenches of payment"
