FMITI promises partnership with NAPRI, others on livestock improved productivity

The momentum for livestock productivity a crusade being led by National Animal Production Research Institute ( NAPRI) in partnership with other private and public stakeholders for quality meat and fresh milk productivity gained strength yesterday as the Federal Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment (FMITI)  joined the business team towards ensuring the success of the farm models establishment in all the requested states of the federation thereby harnessing the economic potential of the sub sector into revenue generation and wealth creation.

Speaking on the occasion, the Director of Commodities and Products Inspectorate Department, FMITI Mrs. Ope Ewe responded to a well presented paper on behalf of the business team led by Executive Director, NARPI, Prof. C. A. M Lakpini said the Minister of State, Hajia Aisha Abubarkar had requested to call for the meeting so as to know the way the ministry can be of value to the development of livestock productivity in the country, thereby mitigating constant conflict between farmers and herdsmen, and economic empowerment of the nation adding all the presentations would be communicated to the minister for bigger stakeholders meeting where all parties would be involved for holistic contribution for training  and financial support for dilapidated dam structure at NAPRI etc.
