Osinbajo - Farmers Most Important in Today's Nigeria

Vice President Prof. Yemi Osinbajo

Farmers are among the most important people in Nigeria today, the Vice President Yemi Osinbajo has said.
He spoke at the Presidential Villa in Abuja yesterday at a meeting with a delegation of the Rice Farmers Association of Nigeria as well as Wheat Farmers Association of Nigeria.

Osinbajo said the present administration has a clear idea on how to execute its agricultural policy to achieve self-sufficiency in food production and diversify the economy.

He said President Muhammadu Buhari had begun an agricultural revolution by launching the Central Bank of Nigeria Anchor Borrowers Financing Initiative and flagging-off the dry season rice and wheat farming in Kebbi State last year.
