The Central Bank of Nigeria ( CBN) has said it will deliver 2.15 million bags of fertilizer valued at over one Hundred Billions Naira for onward distribution to farmers through the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security ( FMAFS). Although some stakeholders in the sector have queried why should the Apex bank embark on such outrageous procurement.

Dr. Ibrahim Mohammed Arabi, the National Coordinator, Agricultural Transformation Agenda Support Programme (ATASP-1), has announced plans for the upcoming wet season farm inputs distribution to targeted areas just as he emphasized the need for Government to prioritize the development of agricultural infrastructure to bolster food productivity nationwide.
