The Prime Minister/ Head of Government, Democratic Republic of Sao Tome and Principe, His Excellency Dr. Americo Ramos yesterday officially inaugurated the local organizing committee of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) in Nigeria towards a preparation to properly harness the business opportunities without barriers among member countries in Africa.
His Excellency Dr. Americo Ramos, during the inauguration, promised to give support to the local organizing committee and will also mobilize members government to do the same.
The local organizing committee was between the FACAN and Sao Tome and Principe forum members.
Speaking on the occasion, the National Secretary of FACAN, Dr. Nuhu Dogodagi assured His Excellency that his association would hit the ground running with full participation in the AfCFTA activities with its sixty-two Agricutural commodity Associations to ensure taking advantage in AfCFTA to advance business development in Nigeria and other African countries.
Part of the activities to come up very soon on or before December, according to the President/CEO Dr. Myke Ozurumba includes bringing together leaders of the Nigerian business community with Sao Tome and Principe towards exploring opportunities in the free trade area for economic development and trade growth.
