Trade/Investment PS charges Directors standard performance

The Permanent Secretary (PS), Federal Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment (FMITI), Dr. Evelyn Ngige has admonished her directors to embrace global standard office management towards better appraisal of staff performance. This was said in a statement made available to us through the office of the Director of press and public relations, ably represented by Eugene Oyinye.

Dr. Ngige speaking to her directors after a three days induction training pointed the need for them to embrace the employee Performance Management Appraisal System (PMS) towards effective rewards to workers that diligently perform their duties very well, saying the federal civil service can no longer accommodate redundancy in the ministry.

It was stated in the press release that PMS would provide rewards for work done with process objectivity and targets based on standards. This aligns with digital technology that will help public officers to think out of the box and add value to the system.

Also the PMS project consultant, Executive Director, Frandek International, Dr. Francisca Odeka advised that the success of the technology is a function of orderly manner application.
