Premier seed MD promises farmers availability with unchanged prices



The new Managing Director (MD) Premier Seeds Nigeria Limited, Mr. Ibitoye Oyewale Olumide has assured farmers of improved seeds availability with affordable prices towards rainy season plantings. Mr. Ibitoye Olumide said this during a chat with our correspond this week Tuesday in office at Zaria, Kaduna state.

He added that presently his company has about 18,000 tons seed varieties  for the year 2023 wet season planting that are well stored..

" As far as Premier seeds limited is concerned, there are seeds availability in preparation for the new planting season. We have started moving them to various locations and deports in Nigeria to facilitate enough availability to farmers' for planting" said he.

Premier boss however doused the fear of prices being increased on seeds, but pointed an affordable price if at all there would be any in view of unstable fuel price.

  2. This is a welcome good news, having good seeds at a reasonable or afordable price. And again the financial support should also come as early as possible. On the otherhand farmers should acquire their farmlands and make appropriate preparations. The money and inputs to be distributed should not diverted.
