What should we expect as the new Chief Veterinary of Nigeria?

You should expect changes in animal health, veterinary services, veterinary public health, epidemiology, and quality assurance, and we should expect to see more animal vaccinations annually and we are fully prepared for is year’s own as  we have started with North West, Jigawa state.  We went to Magari to vaccinate their animals and support the state with a lot of vaccines for the control of diseases in livestock, cattle, sheep and goat, chicken in poultry and this will be done in all the six geo-political zones.  We are going to Edo state, Lagos, Enugu, FCT here and Gombe. We have already started with Magari in Jigawa state, because the state shares a border with Niger Republic and there is a lot of movement of animals between the both countries, so as we are vaccinating, Niger was also doing theirs to prevent unvaccinated animals roaming both the two countries, and thereby controlling spread of the diseases for the purpose of healthy animals for consumptions as meat and milk both for export market and local consumption. A lot of people from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) wanted to buy our sheep and goat, they love the meat but because of diseases they are scared of importing from us.
