Carrot- Nigeria can earn $720b annually, says new president

The newly elected  national president,  National Carrot Growers, Processors and Marketers Association of Nigeria (NACAGPROMAN) Mr. John Aderibigbe has said it is very possible for Nigeria to earn $720b in the production and processing of carrots being  the largest producer in Sub- Sahara Africa (SSA), and 32nd largest producer in the world with approximately 225,000tons annually.


Aderibigbe said the approximation of the above figure stands at  37% of the potential capacity of 600,000 metric tonnes, which had made the revenue implications to worth $720 billion. 


The new president said the aggressive productivity of the produce would generate work and more revenue to both individuals and  government adding it would enhance diversification of the economy by government.

 The chairman of the election, Alhaji Ali lawal advised that carrots productivity should be taken seriously as the value is enormous being a good source of vitamins.

Lawal said that carrots being a source of vitamin A is highly need for good sight, and serves as an immune booster for good human health.

Abubakar Dangaladima, Vice president North Central Jatro Terkura, Vice president North East Hannan Tukur, Vice president Southwest Olunfunsho Adebola, South East Sonatus One, SouthSouth Mrs. Mercy Ubong, the position of the National secretary Bello Kabiru Usuman, The Office of the dupty national secretary went to Chidi Nwafor, The office Treasurer was given to Engr. Madu Kelechi, the office of the Financial Secretary went to Abbi Olaniyan, Office of the Auditor was given to Sulieman Abubakar Sadiq, as the position of Publicity Secretary went to Iyanda Babatunji.

Organizing Secretary Lawal sheun Idris. The office of Legal Advicer Abah Martins Chukuma. While Mr. Silas Kwapo and 

Muntari Mamuu were elected as ex-officio.
