The Permanent Secretary (PS), Federal Ministry of
Agriculture and Rural Development (FMARD) Dr. Mohammed Bello Umar has been posted out
of the ministry to another one that is yet to be ascertained at the time of sending this news.
This is in compliance to directive of President Muhammadu Buhari according to our source at the ministry during the visit of one of our correspondents yesterday.

Dr. Umar who came into the ministry during the
administration of the former Minister Chief Audu Ogbeh however had his tenure extended
by the President Mohammadu Buhari along other Permanent Secretaries who their tenures were extended sometime ago so as to ensure proper handing over to new ministers for easy continuity of government policy.
Umar will be remembered for his role during the 2019 National Council on Agriculture and
Rural Development especially on the issues of RUGA settlement and who heads the department of animals science of the FMARD held in Abia state and other projects he has managed while in the ministry.
Some of the staff commended him as seasoned civil servant whose his wealth of experience has positively affected the procedure of the civil service rules and regulations in the ministry saying is wished all the best.
