Castor President wants India market model in Nigeria

The President, National Castor Seeds Producers, Processors Association, Mallam Ali Lawan has said the replication of oil seeds marketing model in India would enhance productivity at all the value chains in Nigeria.

Relating his experience from the recent India visit to Food Farm News, Alhaji Lawan stressed that the auction method of selling any oil seeds agricultural produce in the open private market in India has really enhanced productivity in the country stressing such model should be adopted in Nigeria so as to enable farmers to bring their produce to highest bidders for purchase.
Lawan said the commissioning of Sabacic acid plant in Oman has stemmed up the demand for castor oil saying Nigeria must catch on the economic opportunity to boost her production and economy with market availability in the model of Patan market in Jugrat region, India.
