Police attacks, two in hospital
The Federal Ministry of Agriculture
and Rural development (FMARD) fact finding officials sent to the College of
Agriculture located at the Moorplantation, Ibadan may have resulted to heating
up the peaceful atmosphere as students are presently protesting with two or
more casualties recorded as a result of sporadic shooting by the police.

sources have hinted that the officials of the FMARD led by the Director, Human
Resources had last week Monday visited the college for the purpose of fact
finding, and probably to proffer amiable way of solving the crisis between the
college management headed by the provost, Dr. Adelekan and the members of
staff.
Although our sources said that the
officials have promised to get back to the college with a report in the next
two weeks, but added the dispositions of the officials did not make the staff
management comfortable as presently the students in the college are protesting
with police shooting to drive them.
Already about two or more casualties
have been recorded as the student peaceful demonstration was being dispersed by
police shooting sporadically this Monday morning, exactly a week the official
of the FMARD visited the college for crisis settlement.There were other properties destroyed like vehicles and their wind screens. Further details will be
reported latter.
