The Federation of Agricultural Commodity Association of
Nigeria (FACAN) has conducted an election that emerged Alhaji Musa Karaya as
the President of Neen Growers, Processors and Marketers Association with six
other Vice President (VP) from the geo-Political zones of country as officers.
Among the six VPs elected were Mrs Hauwa Kuji Warkano, North
east, Mr. Etim Sunday Effiong, South-South, Alhaji Ibrahim Mamud, North West, Hajiya
Rabiat Muhammad Abubakar and Mrs. Nnaji Edit Ijoma for South east.

The post of National Treasurer was won by Alhaji Sani
Ibrahim while Mr. Ohiopa Patrich Mohie and Ileh Domic were elected as National
Financial Secretary and Assistance Secretary General respectively, just as both
Mr. Amali Augustine for Organizing secretary and Aminu Yuguda emerged the
National Public Relation with Alhaji Ibrahim Sule as National auditor.

Alhaji Karaya in his chat with Food Farm News promised a proactive repositioning of the neem
productivity in Nigeria saying the association would harness all the potential
in the sub sector of the economic tree locally and internationally to create
wealth for the members and the entire country.
The President urged the government to give more support to
neem productivity as this was part of its promise to industrialize the country using
the non-oil sector of agriculture, noted that much is expected from his
association while he promised to tap from FACAN wealth of experience to ensure
success being an umbrella body.

The General Secretary of FACAN, Dr. Nuhu Dogondagi assured
the appointed officers of their certification before inauguration to make them
more legal added that his association as a parent body has certified the
election free and fair following the constitution saying no other association
would be allowed to register with name this name as soon as all documentation
is completed.
He further urged the newly appointees to ensure team work so
as to achieve the overall objective of the association in Nigeria, pointing
that more sensitization will be done to strategically position the neem
products for local and international markets as
Nigeria currently has the best neem
in the world.
