Federal Ministry of Industry inaugurates committee for cocoa international fair

The Federal Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment (FMITI) through its Permanent Secretary (PS) has today inaugurated an Inter ministerial Committee for the 2017 International Cocoa Summit was inaugurated today. by the PS FMITI.

Members of the committee includes FMITI, FMARD, Finance, Interior, Foreign Affairs, Budget, NPF, DSS, NCS, NSCDC, FRSC, NIS, NEPC, NAFDAC, SON, NIPC, BOI, BOA, NEXIM, AFRIEXIM, FCTA, NTDC, Information, FACAN, CAN, COPAN, NACCIMA. Seven sub-committees were formed. The Summit is expected to take place in May 2017.

A meeting of the interim National Technical Working Group of GLOBAL-GAP took place today. Meanwhile the sub committees on the Cocoa Rebirth meet tomorrow.
