The Cashew Processors and Packagers Association of Nigeria (CAPPAN) has supported a recent call made by the umbrella body of the produce asking the Federal Government ( FG) to take pragmatic steps that will protect local market running to $1.507,000 on a daily basis.

The national president, National Cashew Association of Nigeria (NCAN), Hon. Ojo Ajanaku has condemned the exploitation of farmers by foreigners who by-passed local buyers to deal directly with producers in the inner lands, saying such action is an affront on the sub sector as no Nigerian can be allowed to do such in any country.

FG, USDA parley to galvanise $10 million opportunities in cashew productivity
The Minister Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (FMARD), Alhaji Muhammad Sabo Nanono and United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), West Africa have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to develop cashew productivity towards creation of ten million dollar opportunities and national food security as well.
