In an effort to ensure maximum utilization of economic potentials in the Fisheries and Aquaculture in Nigeria through a new policy that will run from 2024-2028, an instituted policy experts by the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development ( FMARD), now renamed Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security (MAFS) by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu are already finalizing a policy document for the sub sector in view of the newly created Federal Ministry of Marine and Blue Economy (FMME).

Food Security: Tinubu, AFAN leader speak on way forward
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu of Nigeria has unveiled plans to ameliorate the pains of Nigerians with food availability through immediate and short term actions just as the leader of All Farmers Association of Nigeria ( AFAN) Architect Kabir Ibrahim posited that Nigeria solution to food security must be looked from a bigger picture of productivity beyond Nigeria.
