FG steps to check round tripping of maize, rice, cassava

Having identified round tripping as one major challenge in the 2023 dry season wheat planting through the National Agricutural Growth Scheme -Agro Pocket ( NAGS-AP) program, the Federal Government (FG) through the national and states working committees has decided to take the following underlisted steps to ensuring better inputs delivery for maize, rice and cassava.

Kebbi Governor, AFAN president differ on food skyrockets


The Kebbi State Governor, Sen.Abubakar Atiku Bagudu and president, All Farmers Association of Nigeria (AFAN), Architect Ibrahim Kabiru have taken different position on the causes of increasing prices of food, while the formal posited the cause to increase in foreign exchange on inputs, the latter attributed insecurity as the cause.

The Executive Adviser (EA) to the Governor of Oyo state, Dr. Debo Akande has emphasised the need for agricultural researchers to intensify on improved technologies that would attract more youths into owning a business in Agriculture so as to be a partaker in the one trillion dollar food and agribusiness market in Africa by year 2030.
