NVRC blows hot, gives last opportunity to seed sample defaulters
The chairman, National Varietal Release Committee ( NVRC) Prof. Olusoji Olufajo has fired that no candidate for registration and release will be further entertained without compliance with the required quantity of seed samples meant for submission in National Centre for Genetic Resources and Biotechnology (NACGRAB) and National Agricutural Seeds Council (NASC) for safety cum multiplication for farmers respectively.

FG varietal committee releases six grasses for pasture, and others
The National Committee on Naming, Registration and Release of Crop Varieties, Livestock/ Fisheries domiciled in National Centre for Genetic Resources and Biotechnology ( NACGRAB), Ibadan, Oyo state has registered and released six improved pasture varieties to enhance animals' feeds along with hybrid maize, wheat, millet, pepper, tomato, rice, cowpea, sesame, barley and soybean. The event took place on last week Thursday at Lafia Hotel, Apata, Ibadan.
