Sequel to the “Achiever in Agriculture” Award conferred on the company at the 2015 Nigeria Agriculture Awards, Cellulant has added another feather to its cap of achievements.
On Thursday, October 13th 2016, the company was recognized as the “Best Payments and Transfer Company in Africa” at the 2016 FinTech 100 Awards which held in Johannesburg, South Africa.
According to the CEO of Cellulant Nigeria, Bolaji A kinboro, the award has again underscored the Company’s rising profile as the ‘go to’ destination for financial technology solutions in Africa.
In his words, “In the Fin-Tech segment, the Fintech100 Awards is the most prestigious event in Africa. The judges chose Cellulant ahead of bigger and better known competitors on the continent because our work in agriculture, especially in Nigeria, Togo and Liberia, made all the difference”. Akinboro added that Cellulant was “the only company that could demonstrate how financial technology makes a difference in the lives of Africans”.
