President Bola Ahmed Tinubu of Nigeria will on Monday give out tractors to farmers at unyet announced price just as All Farmers' Association of Nigeria ( AFAN) head, Architect Kabiru Ibrahim is calling on all his members and all other stakeholders to join in the launch for robust outcome for food security.
This event was unveiled in a signed invitation letter sent to AFAN President, Kabiru Ibrahim by the Minister of Agriculture and Food Security ( FMAFS), Sen. Abubakar Kyari,
stated Monday, 23rd June as the official launching day.
President Tinubu is stated to be officially launching the 2000 tractors to farmers as part of the Renewed Hope of food security program of the Federal Government.
Meanwhile, the AFAN President, Kabiru Ibrahim, has described the development as an act of good response to food security by the FG, thereby asking farmers and other partners in the Agricultural sector to troop out to celebrate the day with Mr. President and his Agric Ministers.
Ibrahim said that " We have been informed about the launch and I am calling on all farmers and other agriculture related bodies to let us come out in huge numbers to celebrate with this administration and even use the moment to ask questions on the distribution and sales modalities because the 2000 tractors are just a drop in an ocean. But it is a good start that we must commend as we await more"
